Malmö NVC community: meet-up at STPLN

When and where

Wednesday 27 October, 18:30–21:00 STPLN, Stapelbäddsgatan 3, 211 75 Malmö

What is this?

Courses cost money and don’t happen all that often. One way to let Nonviolent Communication (NVC) live on, not just individually but collectively, is to meet between courses. That is what these meet-ups are for.

What happens we decide together on the spot each time, somewhat like at the NVC festivals. The format makes the meet-ups good opportunities to practise feeling into yourself, taking responsibility for asking for what you want, listening with empathy, seeing whether you’re open to shifting, expressing honesty, and so on. In other words, to practise creating connection and meeting needs.

We may do something together as a group, or split up so that some can do dyads or empathy conversations while others run an exercise. Maybe you’d like to ask someone to lead an exercise, or ask to lead one yourself. You don’t need to know in advance what you want, but a little preparation can help more needs get met.

Who is it for?

The meet-ups are open to anyone interested in Nonviolent Communication who has been in contact with the process before. Maybe you’ve taken one or several courses. Maybe you’ve “just” read Marshall Rosenberg’s book Nonviolent Communication, Ett språk för livet, or listened to The Nonviolent Communication Training Course. Or attended one of the free introductions Föreningen NVC Sverige offers at 19:00 on the 1st of each month.

What does it cost?

Voluntary contribution by Swish to 123 090 38 07 in connection with the meet-up. If you have no idea what’s reasonable, think in the range 0 SEK to 200 SEK; or to keep it simple, Swish 50 SEK.

Get in touch if you have questions. Also get in touch if you’d like to act as a meeting facilitator at one of the meet-ups. See you there!
