Thank you!

Work relationships that rely on a culture of connection result in higher team cohesion, better decisions and productivity compared to when this aspect is left underdeveloped.

In the private sphere, relating to one another with the authenticity that NVC supports can be the difference between having meaningful relationships or not.

In this course you will get a foundation in this consciousness process, which supports an increase in the quality of connection in, for example: teams, families, between spouses, with strangers in public places, and with oneself.

Course contents

Theory & reflection

  • Key differentiations in NVC (observations vs. interpretations, feelings vs. thoughts, needs vs. strategies, requests vs. demands, and others)
  • Underlying assumptions of NVC
  • Empathy & honesty
  • How humans evolve over time

Practice

Understanding NVC is the easy part. Embodying the understanding to an extent that gets us beyond trying to “do it right”, or that has us forgetting it when we need it most, takes time. In this course we will:

  • Practice using either situational set pieces, role plays, or real-life unfolding, depending on what will serve the group best
  • Practice empathy guesses, sensing within, making requests, etc.
  • Practice using visualisation and pen-and-paper exercises

Prerequisites

None. But if you either read an NVC book, or listen to Marshall Rosenberg’s Training Course on YouTube, your pre-understanding will help you absorb even more.
